Australasian Mortality Data Interest Group

The 2011 Mortality Research Supporting Policy and Practice Workshop will be held at the Commission’s Brisbane office: Level 17, 53 Albert St, Brisbane City on 31 October to 1 November.

The Workshop is jointly hosted by the Commission, the National Centre for Health Information Research and Training, and the Queensland University of Technology. It will provide participants insight and information into:

• the latest research findings associated with mortality data
• child death review processes
• advances in data methods, and
• international developments in mortality data systems.

It will also provide a forum for mortality data professionals and researchers to exchange information and forge new partnerships.

Registration for the Workshop opens 6 June and abstracts (from parties interested in presenting at the Workshop) can be submitted until 8 July.
