One of the Commission’s priorities is to contribute to the development of safe environments for children and young people receiving essential and developmentally focused services, by requiring these service providers to comply with risk management and blue card regulations.
Holding a blue card is one element of an effective strategy in managing the risks to children and young people in particular service environments. To complement the blue card, regulated employers and businesses are required to prepare a risk management strategy that addresses eight minimum requirements, as prescribed by the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Regulation 2001.
The Commission contributes to, and encourages, this all-encompassing approach to safe environments for children and young people, by providing free state-wide educational workshops and information sessions for regulated services.
To better tailor the risk management strategy workshop to your needs, workshops and information sessions are now scheduled in response to individual requests.
To register your interest in attending, or to request a workshop in your region, please contact the Community Information and Reporting Team on 3211 6999 or 1800 113 611 to discuss your particular requirements.
