New blue card application forms
To streamline the blue card application process the previous application forms for paid employees, volunteers, students and some child care and disability service workers have been replaced with one Blue card application form (BC).
Applicants can now complete most parts of the form directly on their computer, but will need to then print the form and sign the application before taking it to their employer.
Please note forms cannot be submitted online and we will not accept an electronic or digital signature.
Employers need to check applicants' identification documents and sign the organisation declaration before submitting the form.
To minimise any delays to the processing of applications, the most current version of the application form must be completed and lodged with the Commission. Delays to processing may also occur if the application form is incomplete or if details are not legible.

When to renew your blue card...
Business operators, volunteers and trainee students must submit their renewal application at least 30 days before their blue card expires to continue working while their renewal application is being processed, unless their blue card has been suspended or cancelled.
Paid employees must submit their renewal application before their blue card expires to continue working while their renewal application is being processed.
