Executive officers of a corporation

My business is a corporation and I am an executive officer. Do I need a blue card?

If your business is a corporation (other than an education and care service or child care service) which provides a service or activity regulated under the Commission’s Act, the business must ensure that all executive officers who have decision making responsibilities and whose principal residence is in Australia, must have a blue card.

An executive officer is defined in the Commission's Act to mean any person, regardless of title and whether or not they are a director of the corporation, who is concerned or takes part in the management of the corporation.

You can apply for a blue card by submitting a 'Person carrying on a regulated business (B) application' form (PDF, 295KB) accompanied by the prescribed fee.

Please note, a business operator must not commence or continue regulated work until they have received a positive notice/ blue card from the Commission.
