CCYPCG home / The blue card system / Employers, volunteer coordinators & education providers / Your rights
If you are an employer, volunteer coordinator or education provider arranging practical placements, you have certain rights under the Commission's Act, including:
Right to information about applicants or card holders
If you are an employer of individuals who require a blue card or exemption card, you have the right to check on the progress of their application. The Commission can only provide this information to the contact person nominated on the application or authorisation form.
If a card holder or applicant in your organisation has a change in police information that might affect their eligibility to work with children, you will be advised that a change has occurred. This includes any suspension or cancellation to a person's blue card or exemption card.
Please note - the Commission can not provide you with any details of a person's police information, unless authorised by the applicant, and will only advise if a change in an applicant or card holder's status has occurred that is relevant to their employment.
