Blue card applicants must notify the Commission if they stop working in regulated employment or cease carrying on a regulated business within 14 days of the work ending, otherwise a penalty may apply.
To notify the Commission that you have ceased your child-related work, complete the appropriate form in full and forward it to the Commission.
If you would prefer the form to be mailed to you, please telephone the Blue Card Contact Centre on 1800 113 611 or 3247 5145 to make the necessary arrangements.
No longer in child-related employment
(paid employees / employers / volunteers / volunteer organisations)
To notify the Commission that you are no longer working with an organisation whose details were previously provided to the Commission, complete the No longer in child-related employment form.
Note: this form can also be used for employers / organisations to notify the Commission where a blue card holder is no longer carrying out child-related services for their organisation.
Change to regulated employment
If you change employment, and your new employment is regulated by the Commission’s Act, an authorisation to confirm a valid blue card form can be used to consent to the Commission providing the following information to an authorised person at your new employer:
- the current status of a blue card application
- the validity of a blue card
- any changes to the status of a blue card application.
Upon lodgment of a completed authorisation, the Commission will confirm your current blue card status in writing to the authorised person.
Ceasing regulated business / change business details
To notify the Commission that you have ceased operating a child-related business or of a change to the nature or contact details of the child-related business, complete the Ceasing child-related business/change to business details form.
