Application to cancel a negative notice

Application to cancel a negative notice

An 'Application to cancel a negative notice form' is to be completed if:

  • you hold a current negative notice issued more than two years ago, and
  • you would like to apply to the Commissioner to have the negative notice cancelled.

It is important to note that:

  • the negative notice remains current until it is cancelled, and
  • you must not apply for or start in child-related employment, or carry on a child-related business, (regulated by the Act) until the negative notice is cancelled and a positive notice and blue card issued.
Maximum penalty: $37,500 or 5 years imprisonment.
